Bank holiday spent training and worrying about the trip (i.e. Writing risk assessment). Marvellous trip from Parsons green to Shoreham on Saturday with Marcia and Alan... They both fell in... Then back on Sunday with my transylvanian friend Mirel... Marvellous...
Paddling for conservation of the Amazon...... In 2013 we will be the first to undertake a 1300 km descent of the Amazon River using inflatable Stand Up Paddle Boards (www.redpaddleco.com) to raise funds for Rainforest conservation. We want to raise £6000 to buy a research boat to support the work of Entropika - an organisation dedicated to conservation of wildlife in the Amazon (www.entropika.org).

Gore and more gore... Wilderness medical training course
Dealing with worst case scenarios is something important to consider. Any trip beyond the normal safety net of ambulance and hospitals must undertake wilderness medical training... This is the third time I have renewed my wilderness medical skills on the WMT and last time 2 audience members fainted at the 'desensitisation' imagery.... Only one went down this time allowing us to practise the recovery position! Below photo of the fantastic Tariq and Larissa.. Oh and result of polar bear attack.... Those of squeamish nature look away...
